We spent new year's eve at home. Our original plan was to go to DC but those plans fell through. The day before met us with about 3 inches of snow so the kids had their first sledding excursion. We broke out the Paris Kindersleds that gramma and Grampa got them last Christmas and took pulled them through the park behind the park. They both are thrill seekers and screamed with glee as Leigb and I would run with them in tow. Nora cried when we got home because she didnot want to leave her sled. Jack was happy to be home since he got scratched by a thorn bush and got tipped out once on the curb.
So on to new year's eve. We stayed in most of the day but ventured over to the Banana Factory to meet the Smiths. We saw Balloons the Clown who scared the kids a little but Nora got a balloon animal. Jack did not want to get near enough to a balloon. We went to Starter's for dinner. Jack was pretty calm but Nora had a bit of a screaming fit because she wanted to drink Leigh diet coke. She loves to dip everything, so we were saved by the ketsup that came with her food. After dinner we went back to the BF and made masks and shakers before saying good night to Saige, Farrah, Roch, and Amber. The kids were in bed by 7:30 and Leigh and I were by 11:00. No rockin' New Year's ball drop viewing here :)
