First Fishing Expedition

This past Sunday, I took the kids out to buy them their first fishing pole and tackle. After some depate over the spiderman and barbie options, they both selected the same non-character based grey and blue rod and reel with a little box of lures and bobbers. We headed to the pond at the grist mill behind our old house. Setting up the hooks was a lesson in patience that they did pretty well with. We headed to a bench and I proceeded to cast each of their lines. Their was a lot of reeling in and re-casting but no fish on this first attempt. Maybe we'll have better luck with pop pop.
