"Chother"

The word "chother" is one that both kids use pretty often. It is in place of "each other" and most nights when we sit down at the table, the kids like to pick a new seat or battle over which one gets to sit in the chair that is most special that particular day. The specifics of what makes one chair better usually has no clear advantages over any other but is the one that the other child chose first. This also happens when read books at night. The right side of the bed is always the preferred side and battles ensue. OK, off the tangent and back to "Chother". We we finally sit down and one of the kids notices that the adult that is across from them is the same, a boy or a girl, they will say, "The boys are facing their chother and the girls are facing their chother!" And there you have it, chother used in context.

We had a wagon ride around the neighborhood the other night and it was great to get outside. I think we are all anxious for spring and more opportunities to be outside. Four and a half year olds without an outlet for extra energy can be interesting. They got to burn some energy last weekend at a birthday for their friend Sydney where they got to play Simon Says and Soccer and Basketball.
