Not quite a black eye, Memorial Day and field day

Last Saturday, Jack had a ground ball pop up and hit him just under the right eye. A few tears and some ice followed by a hot fudge Sunday help ease the pain. He went 3 for 4 before the hit and was back at it Tuesday night going 2 for 3.

Sunday was the family Memorial Day picnic at uncle Dave's and Monday included sparklers and an epic wiggle ball game.

This Thursday was field day at school. The kids were on the hold team and they dominated. I got to see the hula hoop jump, relay races - one with a baton and one with a stuff turtles balanced on their head and lastly, some dodgeball. We missed the tug of war, but heard that they won. Num-num came to watched and joined us for a nice lunch at the house. The weather was very warm and sunny despite a cloudy morning. Almost forgot the Popsicles! A cool treat during the events!
