Last week before school

The summer is winding down and we have one more week before the kids head back to school. We have been trying to squeeze in a few last activities before then. Today we took a drive after church and ended up at High Rocks in Ralph Stover Park, the location of Leigh's and my first meeting. We hiked along the path and looked out over the river, then ventured down to the water to skip some rocks. As the kids started to get hot and tire a bit, we headed back and drove down to Carversville to get some lunch. There is a little cafe called Max's and we sat outside Ina little meadow. The food was great and the view was picturesque. We only had one soda spill and no tears, so all in all it was a pretty great experience.

The weekend before, we took a trip out to Crystal Cave. The kids had been wanting to go for a while and the seemed to really enjoy learning about the cave and seeing all the formations.

Over the last few weeks, we hit the Macungie car show, watched Hotel Transvania 2 at SteelStacks, learned how to ride the electric scooter, played mini golf and the kids have been spending a lot of time playing with the neighborhood kids. We have done a lot this summer. It has been one for the books!

Thursday night was meet your teacher night. The kids are together in the same class with Mrs. Borzok. She seems very nice and we are looking forward to ago of year. Jack was glad to see that his friends Mac and Brandon, and Nora is excited to have Lucy and Olivia in their class.

Planning to do a few more fun things this weekend, then back to school on Monday.
