Flight of the Nora
Today while the gate was open, Nora navigated the first flight of stairs. It was only a minute that the gate was open when I heard her laughing, but it sounded strange, like she was elevated. When I looked in the foyer, she was not there, but the laughter continued. She was standing on the landing waiting for me. With me right behind her, she showed me her new found talent and climbed the remaining flight. It is amazing how fast they learn. It also was a reminder that we must be more diligent it locking the gates every time we go through them. Jack is a river again, drooling and a constant running nose, so we suspect he is getting more teeth. We think he has pulled up to standing, but he is still working on it. The few times he has been standing, we have not been sure if one of us stood him up. ;) Today's menu included rice toast, black beans and pears for breakfast, cheese, rice pasta, peas and pears for lunch, and sweet potato, peas, and apple sausage for dinner. MMMmmmmm... They love helping to load and unload the dishwasher, open the oven drawer, remove the DVDs from the shelf and tear magazines, and only occasionally play with their toys.
