Overdue

I am long overdue for a post. It is very hot this week with temperatures near 100. The pool and central air are such wonderful luxuries that we have now had for just 2 days shy of a year. Yup, it will be one year in 2 days. Alot has happened in a year in the house, walls painted, carpets removed, handles, socket covers, lights, fans, etc replaced and the kids had an unbelievable growth both physically and mentally.

They were at the doctor on Tuesday and both are healthy. Jack is 38 inches tall which pits him in the 60th percentile and 35 pounds with is the 80th percentile for weight. Nora is 39.5 inches tall which is the 90th percentile and 38 pounds which is the 95th percentile for weight. They seem to be ahead of the curve in their speech and physical coordination, etc. Nora has also been diaper free except for nighttime for about 3 days. Woohoo!

Another big day was last Saturday as we celebrated their birthdays with family and friends. It was a nice hot sunny day with lots of time in the pool. Jack got lots of Cars inspired toys and princess inspired toys for Nora. We got them bikes that were too big which we exchanged on Sunday and they are able to ride them so much more easily. Jack had a cars cake and Nora had the little mermaid. They had the last piece each tonight.
