I forgot to mention that we had a seagull encounter on Sunday. Jack kept saying "hi seagull friend" whenever he would see a laughing gull and it was as if one was following him since there is almost always at least one overhead. For lunch on sunday, Leigh went up to the house and made hoagies for us on the beach. Jack started first and when he looked away, his seagull friend stole the top of his sandwich. Then moments later, one attempted to snag my hoagie. Then it was on. They were flocking to us but we managed to finish our lunch without and further attacks by huddling under the umbrella for safety.
Today was overcast with off and on rain. We snuck in a nice hour long kayak ride around the bay. We saw egrets, sand pipers, osprey, terns, and lots of sea gulls. We all stayed dry so I think Nora has recovered from our kayak flip back in January in Florida. We tried to go to the beach but it started raining and the kids were cold. Tomorrow looks like we should have some sun ;)
