The Great Turtle Rescue

This morning when Leigh was returning from her run, she found a turtle in the neighbor's driveway. We took the kids out to see it and our other neighbor, Carlton who I have been chatting with all week (interesting guy who has been vacationing in Avalon and Stone a Harbor since he was 3 now is retired here and spends his winters in Maui), told us that the turtle was laying its eggs and now was trying to crawl back across the road to the bay. He said we could save a turtle if we carried it back to the bay. The kids were very excited to carry the little guy and watch him crawl back into the water. Turtle saved!
