Memorial Day

It was a full weekend. Saturday we went to Aunt Cindy and Uncle Dave's near Hershey for a picnic. We got to meet cousin Matt and Carrie 1 month old baby Emma. Very cute and sleepy with lots of dark hair. It was a pretty relaxed party, we brought an assortment of chopped fruits, vegetables and chicken sausage for the  kids to eat. Uncle Steve and uncle Rick joined us. Gramma and Grampa arrived a little late since it was found that there roof had peeled back and needed a quick repair.

On Sunday Leigh took the kids to a picnic while I stayed home and mowed the lawn and Monday we started with a bike ride down in Conshohoken. This was Jack and Nora's first adventure in the Burley trailer. The helmets were a challenge and kept slipping down into the faces, but overall I think they had a good time. We rode 18 miles with Uncle Scott and a few of his friends - Scott, Kevin, Tom and Ian. After the ride, we cleaned up and headed up to Gramma and Grampa for another picnic with Great Grampa Paul and Great Pop-Pop Richard (Zeb) and Great Grammy Dot (Richie). The weather was beautiful, probably 85˚. Aunt Ashley was hoping to win an auction for a convertible Mercury Comet which she did win, so soon we will need to have her take the twins for a ride with the top down!
