Nora's Surgery
Today, Nora had surgery on her left eye lid to remove a piogenic granuloma or rather a cluster of blood vessels that had pushed out into a little bump. She had to be at St. Luke's on 33 by 8:45, so Leigh took her and I planned to follow a little later with Jack to see her in recovery. We left the house at 9:30 and by 9:50, she was already out. We stopped to get her a little stuffed animal, a snow leopard that Jack gave to her as she was released from the recovery room. Although she was a little scared yesterday, she did really well and the doctor, Dr. Morrissey did a great job. Just two tiny stitches. No driving for the next two weeks are the only restrictions ;) They also gave her a little stuffed pig to hold so she wouldn't be scared. She commented on the strawberry flavored air they gave her to fall asleep and was happy to get some cookies and juice since she couldn't have breakfast. A stop at Dunkin Donuts on the way home and free reign of the tv all day made for a good day of recovery. So happy that it all went so smoothly.
